I’m not sure that this movie needed a remake as the original was so well done and still stands up pretty well. The remake looks to be much meaner film than the original and from earlier reviews does not pull any punches. Here’s three previews to give you a peek at what’s in store in this remake.
David and Amy Sumner, a Hollywood screenwriter and his actress wife, return to her small hometown in the deep South to prepare the family home for sale after her father’s death. Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old conflicts re-emerge with the locals, including Amy’s ex-boyfriend Charlie, leading to a violent confrontation.
The movie is scheduled for release on September 16th 2010.
