The X-Men director’s planned remake of John Boorman’s take on Arthurian legend has been shelved. Singer speaks to SFX all about it and reveals that plans for his Battlestar Galactica movie are still on.
As you may or may not know, Bryan Singer was developing a take on the Excalibur legend which was said to be a loose remake of the 1981 John Boorman movie of the same name. That film is considered a classic by many and while I am a fan of it there is no doubt that it has not aged well. So I was looking forward to seeing a new version of the story. Unfortunately it won’t be happening, at least not in the foreseeable future and not with Warner Bros and not with Bryan Singer at the helm.
