I’m gonna be honest here and say that I’m not at all looking forward to this film at all… As much as I like Robert Zemeckis as a director this film just makes me shake my head at the blatant loss of true inspiration in Hollywood and their painfully obvious attempt to grab at straws to be the main goto for everyone’s cinematic fix… More and more low budget films have been flooding the screens recently and Hollywood is trying to call upon the films of past to try and assure that they have the magic key to our hearts… I enjoy a good big budget film but what’s more important than the eye popping special effects is the need for a good story… Because what it all boils down to and what hollywod fails to realize is that film is the 20th and 21st century’s version of a camp fire tale… The people will choose who they liked hearing the story from in the case of this remake and I’m fairly certain people do not like their stories f-ed with… All in all I’m not going to support this film because it feels like they’re pissing on a classic.
