Michael J. Fox recreates classic scene for charity.

Posted on 14 November 2011 by TH3 No08

Michael J. Fox recently performed a re enactment of the rock classic Johnny B. Goode from the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance scene in Back to the Future to raise money for Parkinson’s research. It’s not the first time he has done this as a few years back he performed the same song with The Who at the same event but it’s still pretty cool to see him out there putting on a show and bringing back some great memories.

Tom Welling to Star in Teen Wolf Remake?

Posted on 30 November 2010 by Christian

Articlesbase.com is reporting that once Smallville wraps, Tom Welling will be starring in a remake of Michael J. Fox’s 1985 comedy, Teen Wolf.

One reason this rumor is suspect is that Teen Wolf is also the source of a new dramatic werewolf TV series coming from MTV. On the other hand, the story does make this point: “The said film, which was originally led by actor Michael J. Fox, showcases a high school student who discovers that his family has an odd heritage and eventually finds himself transforming into a werewolf. Released in 1985, the movie was directed by Rod Daniel, and was co-written by Jeph Loeb and Matthew Weisman. As for Welling

Posted on 06 October 2010 by Christian

Seeing Michael J. Fox recreate the ‘Back To The Future’ teaser for the Scream Awards has us a little nostalgic.
But did you know that Michael J. Fox wasn’t even originally cast as the star of the 1985 film? Eric Stoltz was the first choice but producers decided to recast the role five weeks into the film’s production because they believed something was missing.

See footage of Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly as well as Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg and Bob Gale explaining the switch below. The never before seen clip will be included on the extras for the DVD and Blu-ray release of the trilogy later this month.

Michael J. Fox Recreates the Classic

Posted on 06 October 2010 by Christian

Heavy!
25 years after originally playing Marty McFly, Michael J. Fox has rolled up his jeans, slipped on his mirrored shades, and taken the driver’s seat of Doc Brown’s DeLorean once again.
It’s to promote this year’s Spike TV Scream Awards — where the cast of “Back to the Future” will reunite — Fox took part in a shot-for-shot recreation of the original teaser trailer for the movie. The video matches the original in nearly every detail, from the tongues sticking out of Fox’s Nikes to the pulsating of the time machine’s Flux Capacitor.
The reunion at the Scream Awards, airing Tuesday, October 19 on Spike, is just the latest in a flood of “Back to the Future” related nostalgia to hit the Internet recently. Back in July, a hoax that claimed we had reached the date in the future that Marty McFly visited was picked up by celebrity Twitter-ers like Joe Jonas. Then in September it was announced that a new video game based on the movie series was in the works, with Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as Doc Brown. And just this week, the Web got fired up by the first look at footage of Eric Stoltz playing the role of Marty, before he was replaced by Fox. All this is leading up to the release of the “Back to the Future” trilogy on Blu-ray, hitting stores on October 26.
For his part, Michael J. Fox looks healthy and still decades younger than his actual age (he turns 50 next June). He appeared at the closing ceremonies of this year’s Winter Olympics with other notable Canadian celebrities. He published his third book called “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future” (there’s that word again). And next month he’ll return to TV for a guest role on “The Good Wife.”
Here’s the original teaser trailer for “Back to the Future” that Fox reshot for the Scream Awards:
