The Poster Wall : The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)

Posted on 23 September 2011 by TH3 No08

Whether you enjoy The Human Centipede 2 or not you have to give them credit for creating an excellent movie poster. There’s some very cool stuff here giving you a real sense of the darkness that takes place in this movie. The grungy textures mixed with the bodies lined up into a real full sequence human centipede is some creepy stuff.

The Poster Wall: The Walking Dead Season 2

Posted on 14 September 2011 by TH3 No08

While you wait with baited breath to see if season 2 is going to be a total disaster without Frank Darabont you can check out this cool poster from the upcoming season. It features what looks to be Rick Grimes running with gun in hand toward Hershel’s farm. Here’s some advice to the new show runner, stick with the comic. Everything good about last season was from the comic, it only started to suck when you went rogue. Just keep that in mind and you’ll do fine.
Check out the show when the second season premieres next month on AMC.

The Poster Wall: Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil

Posted on 01 September 2011 by TH3 No08

Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil is one of my favorite movies of the year and is certainly worthy of being picked up when it hits Blu-Ray on Nov. 28th 2011. Here’s a very cool poster from MTV.com that was created for the film that really does a great job capturing the fun and over the top horror humor that makes Tucker and Dale one of the most original releases of the year.

The Poster Wall #4

Posted on 08 April 2011 by TH3 No08

This week releases were rather weak comparatively speaking. There’s some cool stuff in here but not up to what we’ve had the last few weeks. Let’s jump in…

Up first is an interesting collection of posters from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles relaunch from Nickelodeon. Interesting art style, I’m curious if this is more of what we’ll see in the new series…

Staying with the animated theme are some interesting pieces from some upcoming animated short films. Year Zero is a short film that is premiering at Tribeca. It’s the story of a loner who finds himself trapped in his apartment in NYC during a zombie outbreak. The Monster of Nix is a short film starring Tom Waits and Terry Gilliman by director Rosto about a troubled boy who fights a destructive monster in the village of Nix. Very stylish and interesting group…

Up next are a few from some sci-fi horror movies coming this summer. Apollo 18 is a found footage film about a group of astronauts who find something on the moon that wasn’t supposed to be there. described as Blair Witch meets Moon. The poster from Priest looks cool but has little to do with the plot of the movie it’s from. Maybe some vampires would have helped…

This weeks WTF award goes to these two posters. The Asylum puts out knock off films to capitalize on big budget movies of a similar ilk and their poster for Thor is actually not half bad. I imagine the actual movie is a rotten turd but the poster’s pretty good. Insidious is one of the better horror movies I’ve seen in a while but this poster is absolutely atrocious. It just looks amateurish and cheap. Maybe that’s what they were going for but I doubt it.

We’ve got two from Mondo Tees this week as they continue to put out some of the best movie posters in the business. Up first is a Roger Rabbit print from their Disney series. There is a limited run of 210 and they went on sale today, April 8th and they are already sold out. Here’s an awesome Hobo With A Shotgun poster as well. It really captures the elements that have made this film a cult hit before it’s even hit theaters…

That’s it for this weeks collection, more great posters next week…
