Last week we were treated to a teaser for a Ferris Bueller project that set the internet on fire. It was speculated that it was everything from a reboot to a sequel to a television series. Most actually realized what it was early on when the date on the teaser matched up with the Super Bowl. Well here’s your first look at that Super Bowl commercial as Ferris Bueller sells his soul for a Honda ad. Yes they re-enacted major portions of the movie and substituted a Honda for the car used in the original. Now that I’ve ruined it for you by spoiling it feel free to watch Ferris Bueller sell out for some Honda Money.
To celebrate the launch of the all-new 2012 CR-V, Honda brought Ferris Bueller’s Day Off back in a big game commercial. We cast Matthew Broderick as himself, skipping out on a day of acting work and living it up in his all-new CR-V. Relive movie history with Honda’s fresh twist and wonderful homage to this ’80s classic.
As the Office series is winding down and slowly losing steam to the point that they haven’t been picked up for next season word is coming down that NBC will be keeping the one of the main characters alive by spinning the series off and giving Rainn Wilson his own series. The spin off will purportedly take place in and around Shrute Farms and the life and times of Dwight Schrute. We may get an early look at the show during an episode of the Office later this season.
There’s been no shortage of promotional material for TWD season 2 and now we get a look at a very dramatic scene from the premiere. Check it out for a taste of whats in store when it hits AMC tv 10-16-2011.

I loved watching the X-Files and I still do watch if from time to time on Netflix but it just never really translated to the big screen for me. Taking the short form story arc we’re used to watching and stretching it out for a full two hours just seems to takes away something that’s really caused the movies to come off a bit flat. With that being said there’s been rumors going around for a while of a third film in the series and those rumors may be true. We found out today that Gillian Anderson hopes that the film will be released next year. Kylie Speer of the Australian breakfast show Sunrise, tweeted the following,
Just interviewed Gillian Anderson…she is super stunning in real life and said she hopes a new #X-Files 2012 movie will be out next year!
So there you go, X-Files 3 coming in 2012. At least according to some Australian on twitter.

I look forward to seeing where the story is headed and whether or not they will stick to the comic or continue to drift away from the great story line set for in the comic series.

I like this poster, the trailer for the movie? Not so much. It does have a certain Buffy like charm to it and I like Routh but I dunno about this one.

Having spent plenty of time in the sci/fantasy/horror genre via Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tru Calling, and Dollhouse, Deadline is reporting that Eliza Dushku is ready to try something a little more down to earth in the TNT pilot, Bird Dog.
Describes Deadline, “Bird Dog is a mystery fashioned around an unlikely partnership of two cops who happen to be father and daughter. It centers on Gail McGrath (Dushku), who followed in her father’s footsteps in becoming a police officer but had little else in common with him. She left the big city she had grown up in to move to a small Pacific Northwestern town where she was patrolling the streets until her dad, a NYC cop, showed up on her front doorstep to join her as her new partner. Now this father-daughter team, call sign ‘Bird Dog,’ is being put to the test — not only in solving crimes, but with each other.”
