FAN ART: Awesome Pics Of TMNT Characters As You’ve Never Seen Them

Posted on 13 September 2011 by Christian

Check out this pretty damn amazing character art from Dave Rapoza featuring all of your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters looking very hardcore indeed..

Now anyone familiar with the original incarnations of the TMNT will know that they started off much less kid friendly than they ended up, but I think these scary looking bastards might be taking it slightly too far! Still, very impressive work. Along with the main characters of Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, Splinter, Shredder, April O’Neil and Casey Jones we have Bebop, Rocksteady, Slash, Baxter Stockman, Wingnut with Screwloose, Metalhead and a Foot Soldier. You don’t need me to point out who is who do ya?:)

The Poster Wall #4

Posted on 08 April 2011 by TH3 No08

This week releases were rather weak comparatively speaking. There’s some cool stuff in here but not up to what we’ve had the last few weeks. Let’s jump in…

Up first is an interesting collection of posters from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles relaunch from Nickelodeon. Interesting art style, I’m curious if this is more of what we’ll see in the new series…

Staying with the animated theme are some interesting pieces from some upcoming animated short films. Year Zero is a short film that is premiering at Tribeca. It’s the story of a loner who finds himself trapped in his apartment in NYC during a zombie outbreak. The Monster of Nix is a short film starring Tom Waits and Terry Gilliman by director Rosto about a troubled boy who fights a destructive monster in the village of Nix. Very stylish and interesting group…

Up next are a few from some sci-fi horror movies coming this summer. Apollo 18 is a found footage film about a group of astronauts who find something on the moon that wasn’t supposed to be there. described as Blair Witch meets Moon. The poster from Priest looks cool but has little to do with the plot of the movie it’s from. Maybe some vampires would have helped…

This weeks WTF award goes to these two posters. The Asylum puts out knock off films to capitalize on big budget movies of a similar ilk and their poster for Thor is actually not half bad. I imagine the actual movie is a rotten turd but the poster’s pretty good. Insidious is one of the better horror movies I’ve seen in a while but this poster is absolutely atrocious. It just looks amateurish and cheap. Maybe that’s what they were going for but I doubt it.

We’ve got two from Mondo Tees this week as they continue to put out some of the best movie posters in the business. Up first is a Roger Rabbit print from their Disney series. There is a limited run of 210 and they went on sale today, April 8th and they are already sold out. Here’s an awesome Hobo With A Shotgun poster as well. It really captures the elements that have made this film a cult hit before it’s even hit theaters…

That’s it for this weeks collection, more great posters next week…

First Official Trailer for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night

Posted on 04 March 2011 by Christian

Brandon “Superman” Routh stars in director Kevin Munroe’s (TMNT) adaptation of the wildly popular Italian comic book series created by Tiziano Sclavi!

The first official trailer for director Kevin Munroe‘s (TMNT) new movie, Dylan Dog: Dead of Night has just been released. Oh, you’ve already seen a trailer? True, an unofficial promo trailer was leaked online several months ago, and several Italian-dubbed trailers have previously been released, but this is the first official U.S. theatrical trailer for the big screen adaptation of the mega-popular Italian comic book series Dylan Dog created by Tiziano Sclavi that stars Brandon “Superman” Routh as Dylan Dog, a paranormal investigator with the ability to see the supernatural creatures hiding in plain sight all around us.

Tired of the waking nightmare that his life has become, Dylan Dog packs his bags and moves to New Orleans to try to find some peace. However, a series of events involving a missing artifact, a beautiful heiress and a brutal murder conspire to drag him back into the world of the undead. Sam Huntington, Taye Diggs, Peter Stormare and Anita Briem also star.

TMNT: Fighting the Foot

Posted on 26 January 2011 by Christian

I found this pretty cool short film online today. Check it out.

Set before the up rise of Shredder, when gangs ran the streets with no organization or cause, this fan-created Ninja Turtles short features the Foot Clan getting whooped by Raphael. This is a solid reminder that it
