New Trailer for The Muppets

Posted on 13 October 2011 by TH3 No08

The Muppets Movie looks better and better with each trailer. I thought the early themed trailers were ok but once they got into the actual stories and characters it looks really entertaining. Look for it to hit the theaters just in time for the holidays, 11-23-2011.

Red Band Trailer for 11-11-11

Posted on 13 October 2011 by TH3 No08

Darren Bousman has a bit of a spotty track record with me. I can certainly appreciate what he was trying to do with the Saw sequels but it fell short the longer the series went on but I really enjoyed his remake of Mother’s Day. Here it looks like he’s gone completely overboard with the crazy in 11-11-11. Check out the trailer and tell me what you think.

Synopsis:

After the tragic death of his wife and child, famed American author Joseph Crone travels from the United States to Barcelona, Spain, to reunite with his estranged brother, Samuel, and dying father, Richard. However, fate has a different plan for Joseph as his life becomes plagued with strange happenings and the constant sightings of the number 11. Curiosity quickly turns to obsession, and Joseph soon realizes that this number holds a horrific meaning not only to himself but possibly to all of religion. Isolated in a foreign country with only the support of his companion, Sadie, Joseph soon realizes that 11/11/11 is more than just a date; it’s a WARNING!

Michael Beihn stars in The Divide

Posted on 11 October 2011 by TH3 No08

I’m a sucker for end of the world / post apocolyptic movies and this one looks right up my alley. Michael Beihn is back to star in this dark tale of a group of survivors locked in the basement of apartment building who must struggle to survive. Early reviews are saying this film is super intense and very dark. Looks promising.

When a cataclysmic explosion devastates New York, eight strangers take refuge in the basement of their apartment building, a converted fallout shelter designed by their paranoid superintendent Mickey. With just three connecting rooms it’s barely big enough, but with stockpiles of food and water, the group are at least safe from the horrors outside, and they settle in and attempt to fathom the catastrophe that has ended the lives of so many of their loved ones.

With twists and turns throughout, and no way of knowing who will make it out alive, THE DIVIDE is an action packed psychological thriller that combines ‘Assault on Precinct 13′ with ‘Lord of the Flies’. To survive the end of the world, you first must survive each other…

New Trailer for Sleeping Beauty

Posted on 11 October 2011 by TH3 No08

This is not the Sleeping Beauty that you grew up watching or reading about. This is a dark story of a college student drawn into prostitution and drug use in a super secretive society. I haven’t heard a lot about it but the cinematography in the trailer looks spectactular. Check it out when it hits theaters December 2, 2011.

Red Band Trailer for The Thing

Posted on 19 September 2011 by TH3 No08

I’m not sure if I’m completely sold on this prequel/remake or whatever it is but the trailer looks interesting. It does have a real sense of the 1982 version flowing through out but there’s something about the digital effects that are putting me off a bit. Check it out when it hits theaters October 14, 2011.

The first trailer for J. Edgar

Posted on 19 September 2011 by TH3 No08

There’s been a lot of rumors over the years about whether Hoover was living a secret deviant lifestyle behind closed doors and it looks like Clint Eastwood is exploring those fertile grounds with this latest biopic starring Leonardo Dicaprio as J. Edgar Hoover. With an incredible cast featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Watts, Judi Dench, Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas and Ken Howard this is sure to be an early Oscar favorite.

Max Payne 3 trailer premiere

Posted on 14 September 2011 by TH3 No08

It’s been 9 years since the last Max Payne and by the looks of the trailer it’s been a rough go for Max. While hiding out in some South American hell hole he’s sucked back into some crime situation or other. It looks like they’ve gone away from the noire style of original game into a more modern Drakes Fortune style of storytelling. The bullet time is still there but the game does have a very different feel. Look for it in March of 2012.

TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN THEATRICAL TRAILER

Posted on 13 September 2011 by TH3 No08

While I may not particularly enjoy these movies very much you have to appreciate the way they make money hand over fist. They’ve taken bloodthirsty vampires and werewolves and turned them into sparkly lovers and people are anxiously waiting for more. Here’s a look at their latest theatrical trailer. Enjoy…

The film is set to be released on November 18th 2011.

Here’s the synopsis:

In the highly anticipated next chapter of the blockbuster The Twilight Saga, the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world.

After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal.

But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in motion a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle.

The suspenseful and deeply romantic Breaking Dawn continues the epic tale of supernatural fantasy and passionate love that has madeThe Twilight Saga a worldwide phenomenon.

We posted the Austrailian teaser featuring the audiences reaction last week to THC 2 and now we have the actually teaser for the film to check out. Josh Brolin attached to star in Oldboy remake

Posted on 29 August 2011 by TH3 No08

There’s been a lot talk lately about Josh Brolin starring in Spike Lee’s remake of the classic film Oldboy and now it is official. Brolin is attached to the film and will be playing the lead character of Oh Daesu from the original. Also rumored to be taking the role of the evil counterpart Woo-Jin Lee is Christian Bale. These two actors combined with Spike Lee’s talent for story telling could make for a very dynamic retelling of the original story. The only concern I would have for this remake is how much of the story would have to changed for American audiences for it to be more palatable. There’s a lot of violence and the twist at the end of the movie will definitely be reworked or this movie will not make a dollar in American theaters and that’s super sad. Check out the trailer for the original for a taste of what’s to come (hopefully).

Official Trailer for The Skin I Live In

Posted on 29 August 2011 by TH3 No08

This is the first Antonio Banderas film I’ve seen in a long time that actually looks like something worth checking out. I feel like his foreign language films allow him to get away from the characters he’s been type cast here as in the U.S. and do some very cool stuff. This trailer certainly looks to be very different from what we are used to seeing him in.

Ever since his wife was burned in a car crash, Dr. Robert Ledgard, an eminent plastic surgeon, has been interested in creating a new skin with which he could have saved her. After twelve years, he manages to cultivate a skin that is a real shield against every assault.

In addition to years of study and experimentation, Robert needed three more things: no scruples, an accomplice and a human guinea pig. Scruples were never a problem. Marilia, the woman who looked after him from the day he was born, is his most faithful accomplice. And as for the human guinea pig…

The film hits theaters on October 14th.
